U.P. unemployment rate holds steady in September
The Upper Peninsula’s unemployment rate fell to 4.3 percent in September, down from 4.8 percent in August, but remains the same (percentage-wise) as it was in September of 2021. The Michigan Department of Technology and Budget estimates that there are 5,800 unemployed people in the U.P., which is roughly 100 more people than in September of 2021.
