The 2022-23 trivia season at East Channel Brewing Company ended with its second annual charity night on Tuesday, April 25. Teams competed for various local charities with the total pot of $1,531 being split between first second and third place.

The Munising Cannabis Company was named Microbusiness of the Year by Michigan Green State magazine, one of the largest state-specific marijuana publications in the nation. With Munising Cannabis being the only dispensary of this type in the Upper Peninsula, it only makes the accolade a bigger achievement, said General Manager Jody Irving.

These students were named to the honor roll at Superior Central for the third marking period of the 2022-23 school year. An asterisk (*) denotes all A’s.

Munising had its academic honors night on Wednesday, April 26. The school celebrated its high school students that had GPA of 3.5-4, 3.25-3.49 and 3.00-3.24.

Munising’s inaugural Earth Fest, a weeklong series of events celebrating Earth Day, was held last week at the Munising School Public Library. Over 100 people attended the various workshops, speaking engagements and displays.
