Harold C. “Jack” Boaz, PhD who split his time between AuTrain, MI and Benson, AZ, died on May 11, 2023 after complications from a nine week battle with the hospital from a serious fall. Services will be held at the Bowerman Funeral Home in Munising on Wednesday, August 23, 2023.

Joseph Richard Lancour, age 76 of Munising, died on Monday evening, August 14, 2023 at Medilodge of Munising following a brief illness and surrounded by his family. Joe was born on January 2, 1947 in Marquette to the late Richard and Jean (Richmond) Lancour. He graduated from Eben High School in 1965 and then served in the U.S.
As fallout continues to impact Alger County after North Country Disposal pulled its recycling services, a new concern is challenging local business owners regarding responsible waste removal.
