Since 1987, the entire month of March has been Women’s History Month. This is a time to reflect on all of the amazing contributions women have made to our society throughout history. It’s also a time to look forward, finding ways to break down barriers that may stand in the way of women who wish to offer up their own ideas, skills, and expertise.

Cyberstangs Escanaba Recap

After eight weeks of brainstorming, prototyping and testing the Cyberstangs had a robot up and running. Cyberstangs team 6112 went to the Escanaba district event. There the Cyberstangs\had six wins and nine losses, and ended the competition ranked 19th.

MUNISING, MI - Alger County, renowned for its winter wonderland and a hub for snow-related tourism, is grappling with an unexpected adversary this year — an unseasonable lack of snowfall, causing a significant decline in local business, especially those reliant on winter activities. The Beacon recently caught up with Marshal and Callie Bakker from Charlevoix, Michigan, who had planned a snowmobiling adventure across the Upper Peninsula.
