100 Years Ago: January 1925 In January 1925, Munising residents enjoyed a cultural highlight with the screening of Eugene O’Neill’s Pulitzer Prize-winning drama “Anna Christie” at the local Delft theater. Starring Blanche Sweet and William Russell, the play-turned-film was advertised as a gripping tale of realism and emotional power. Another feature this week was “Riders of the Timberland,” starring Rin Tin Tin, the “Wonder Dog,” in a romantic and adventurous drama that thrilled local audiences.
