Elm Street was completely blocked by emergency vehicles after a person was trapped underneath their vehicle on Monday, Feb. 13. According to the Munising Fire Chief Red Anderson, the bystander making the 9-1-1 call advised emergency responders that the person trapped would need extraction. The trapped individual had one leg stuck under the front tire while their other leg was still stuck in the cabin of the vehicle. After cutting off the door and jacking up the vehicle, the person was removed and transported to UPHS-Marquette with non-life threatening injuries. Munising City Volunteer Fire Department, Munising Township Fire Department, Munising Police Department and Alger County EMS responded to the call. Brice Burge
