Lady Mustangs breeze by North Dickinson, 52-12

Even though they might have been tired from a long evening the night before, there really was no stopping the Munising girls basketball team in their home game with Felch North Dickinson last week. The Lady Mustangs were taking on the Lady Nordics on Wednesday, Feb. 7, and controlled things from the start, to the tune of a 52-12 victory.

Leslie Newlin

Leslie Newlin, 94, of Wallace, Mich. Passed away at home following a brief illness surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 10, 2024. He was born to late Otto and Elsie (Miller) Newlin in Wallace. Leslie graduated from Stephenson High School in 1947. In 1951 he was drafted into the United States Army, where he served in the Korean War until 1953 when he was honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal.

State Representative Jenn Hill arrived at the Munising School Public Library for an open question and answer session on Saturday January 20TH. Among the issues addressed were efforts to undo energy bills, redistricting efforts and the Munising Marketplace.

Bobcat Basketball Recap

The Bobcats have had a great week of basketball!!! On Tuesday, the Bobcats faced off at home against the Grand Marais Polar Bears. The H-58 rivalry constantly provides an entertaining and competitive matchup. This time, the Bobcats came out on top with a final score of 54-31.
