Munising High School proudly inducted 5 new Junior National Honor Society members on March 1, 2024. Although the recent snowy week made for some abrupt adjustments, the Jr. NHS has registered a formal chapter, set up officers, and the current group members helped to modify the example Marquette script and ceremony to make the event more intimate for a library setting–a location of great knowledge.

In the heart of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula lies the small town of Munising, where the winters are long, and the love for hockey runs deep. Intuition and your health

Intuition (aka that “gut feeling”) is something we are all blessed with. The trouble is that most of us do not know how to recognize our intuition or to hear what it is trying to tell us. Intuition is defined as, “immediate knowing without reasoning or inferring”; it is the ability to understand something without conscious reasoning. People often describe the sensation of intuition as “pit of stomach feeling”, or “light bulb moment”, where you have a random idea/impulse out of nowhere.

Pastor’s Corner

Nine-year-old Joey was asked by his mother what he had learned in Sunday School. ‘Well, Mom, our teacher told us how God sent Moses behind enemy lines on a rescue mission to lead the Israelites out of Egypt . When he got to the Red Sea , he had his army build a pontoon bridge and all the people walked across safely. Then he radioed headquarters for reinforcements. They sent bombers to blow up the bridge and all the Israelites were saved.’ ‘Now, Joey, is that really what your teacher taught you?’ his mother asked. ‘Well, no, Mom. But, if I told it the way the teacher did, you’d never believe it!’
