Intuition and your health

Intuition (aka that “gut feeling”) is something we are all blessed with. The trouble is that most of us do not know how to recognize our intuition or to hear what it is trying to tell us. Intuition is defined as, “immediate knowing without reasoning or inferring”; it is the ability to understand something without conscious reasoning. People often describe the sensation of intuition as “pit of stomach feeling”, or “light bulb moment”, where you have a random idea/impulse out of nowhere.

Death Notice

Anthony “Tony” Babcock, age 65, of Munising, died unexpectedly on Friday, March 1, 2024 at his home. Services were held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at the Bowerman Funeral Home.

Great Lakes Fishing Decree takes effect

Updated guidelines for co-management of fishery resources in parts of Michigan’s Great Lakes are now in effect for the next 24 years. The new Great Lakes Fishing Decree was approved Aug. 24, 2023, by the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan. In the months since the decree’s signing, the State of Michigan and tribal governments have been preparing to implement the provisions of the document.
