Margaret “Maggie” Goss Meiss Margaret “Maggie” Goss Meiss passed away on February 14, 2024 at Marquette County Medical Care facility in Ishpeming where she had been a resident for four years. She was born on July 22, 1944 in Stuttgart, Arkansas to George and Kathleen Goss.

Munising girls dominate Superior Central, 66-6

After dropping a close game to Marquette a few days earlier, the Munising girls basketball team bounced back in a big way on Thursday. The Lady Mustangs were playing at Superior Central, and dominated the game in all facets, claiming a 66-6 victory.

Munising wrestling qualifies three for state finals

The Munising wrestling team had a pretty good showing at the Division 4 individual wrestling regional on Saturday. The meet was held down at Charlevoix, and the Mustangs were able to get Logan Gould, Joe Kelley and Korbyn Smith to all take fourth place to punch their tickets to the state finals.
