The Superior Central after school ski club will have new equipment to use after a grant from Alger County Communities That Care (AC3). AC3 wrote a grant that covered the cost of 22 sets of skis, poles, and boots of various sizes through Munising’s South Bay Outfitters.

The Delta Chapter of the National Honor Society at Munising High School added 16 new members to its ranks at an induction ceremony on Friday, Nov. 10 at Mather Auditorium. Joining the NHS were Jolie Ake, Dayne Behning, Samantha Cain, Bailey Corcoran, Alexandra Goss, Daniel Goss, Carson Kienitz, Savannah Lassila, Zachary Lindquist, Kate Mattson, Natalie Holmes-Niven, Trevor Nolan, Nathan Petersen, Tessa Salo, Jacob Vanlandschoot and Elizabeth Wing.

Computing ABC’s classes begin November 15. Do you want to know more about using your computer? Learn the basics and ask questions about your devices in this easy to navigate class. Contact the library to get on the list as space is very limited. Class will meet monthly at 11 a.m. on select Wednesdays.

Welcome home Oaklynn Elizabeth June Tyner! Oaklynn was born happy and healthy on Friday, October 20, 2023 to Britton Tyner and Cristal McGee. Oaklynn was six pounds, three ounces and 19 3/4 inches long at birth. She is the first child for the couple. Congratulations!

Gemini Studio, a new full-service salon, is open in Trenary under owner Lisa Johnson. “I’ve been working about 3-4 days a week, but we’re getting busier and busier,” Johnson said.
