It was a beautiful Saturday for the annual Taste & Glide event at Valley Spur, as over 200 cross country skiers dined their way through the trail network fundraiser. “It’s a good event, and it’s been a good event for people that want to socialize,” Mary Vaisanen of Forest Lake said.

SC trivia fundraiser Saturday A trivia fundraiser will be held at the Chatham Pub Saturday at 7 p.m. The event raised over $600 at the previous fundraiser with the goal of sending Superior Central students to Washington D.C. Cost to compete in teams of six or less is $50. RSVP is required.

Pictured Rocks ranger not guilty

Matthew Craig Nemeth, a law enforcement officer with Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore (PRNL), was found not guilty of one count of reckless driving during a jury trial on Monday, March 6 in 93rd District Court. Nemeth wore his full PRNL law enforcement uniform and stating that he “was being paid to be there” during the trial.
