Munising School Public Library notes

TaleSpinners Storytime resumes this coming Monday, January 23rd at 10:30 a.m.. Join Ms. Kristin for stories, songs, and crafts about chameleons! Starting in February, recurring once a month, a Park Ranger from Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore will be at Talespinners Storytime with their Read with a Ranger program. The first one is scheduled for Monday, February 27.

Internet restored in West Alger Western Alger County struggled with a major internet outage on Monday, Jan. 9, shutting down TDS modems in the area. Multiple businesses were unable to process credit and debit cards, leading to low sales, but the outage ended early Tuesday morning.

BigBrothersBigSistersofMarquette and Alger Counties (BBBSMA), now serves the Central Upper Peninsula and is asking adults to “Join the Village” by volunteering as a “Big” for one of over 25 children currently ready and waiting for a mentor. Mentoring is fun, flexible, and a powerful way to make a real difference in one’s community by providing a safe space for a young person to explore, learn and grow, igniting their potential for a bright future.
