The Schooner Madeline’s presence in the small harbor at Michigan’s Fayette State Park recreates the historic times when wooden schooners were the cargo ships that made the smelting of iron ore in Fayette possible and provided critical support for other small frontier ports on the upper Great Lakes.

The Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Detroit Regional Office in partnership with the Iron Mountain VA Medical Center and its community-based outpatient clinics offers tele-benefits calls each Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. ET to answer VA benefits questions. VBA can assist Veterans and their caregivers, survivors, or dependents with filing a VA disability claim, checking claim status, answering PACT Act questions, verifying benefits or amount letters, requesting forms or letters, and helping dependents and survivors with inquires. The VBA Detroit Regional Office also provides services associated with VA pensions, burials, home loans, survivor benefits, education and employment.

Jennifer Champagne David Delisle, the owner of Happy’s Place in Munising, grew up in the bustling kitchen of Napoli’s Pizza, a local favorite restaurant owned by his mother, Yvonne Delisle. Napoli’s was renowned for its mouth-watering pizza and especially its secret sauce, a recipe so treasured that it attracted pizza lovers from all over, as well as its gravy fries, both of which he features on Happy’s menu.
