National Park Service The Isle Royale Teen Artist Exploration is for all aspiring teen artists who want to develop their art through experiencing wilderness. It is open to all visual and performing artists, writers, and composers ages 13 to 18 at time of participation.
On Jan 20th, a garage caught fire at 4358 Au Train Trail. Fire fighters were called at 8:46 PM to the structure in Onota township to battle the blaze. Units from Au Train and Munising Township and the City of Munising rushed to the scene.

The Gateway loop at the Munising Bike Park will once again be lit up by decorated wine bottles strung in the trees along the trail. Glow sticks will be placed along the trail for the kiddos (see if they can find all of them). Join us for an enchanting snowshoe (conditions will be updated the day of the event). Snowshoes may or may not be required depending on depth of snow and trail conditions. 6:15 – 8:15 p.m. on January 27th.

The second annual fishing derby will take place on Saturday March 2 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.. The derby is run by South Shore Fishing Association, a 501(c)(3) organization and last year raised $15,000 to benefit Rescue 21.
