All Letters to the Editor must be 400 words or less. To be considered for publication, the letter must be signed by the author with an address and telephone number included for verification only. Personal attacks, form letters and letters promoting political candidates/ issues above the statewide level will not be accepted. Letters containing language or content that is blatantly offensive, letters based on proven inaccuracies or letters considered libelous will not be published. Letters may be edited or rejected at the discretion of the editor. All letters reflect the opinion of the letter writer and not necessarily the opinion of The Munising Beacon. It is a privilege, not a Constitutional right, to have a letter published in a privately owned publication.
