Atchison out as UPHSMarquette
Gar Atchison, the current market president of UP Health System (UPHS) and CEO of UPHS – Marquette, will be resigning from his position at the end of November. The change means that the only local Trauma II center in the central Upper Peninsula and a local partner in med control for EMS runs will have new leadership.

100 Years Ago - The Munising News - Oct. 26, 1923 Locals push for seasonal properties CC Peck, proprietor of the McDougall Tire Shop, has issued an illustrated circular calling attention to summer resort advantages of Munising and vicinage and offering for sale sites for summer cottages and hunting lodges. The same will be given a wide distribution and is another stroke of business in the right direction. Every piece of mail leaving Munising should carry a leaflet with a message along the same line. It would pay big dividends.
