Dear brother to the late Marilyn Shaffstall, William (Ronalda) Shaffstall, Diane (the late Gary) Virta, Allie Mary (Bob) Gariepy, Amy (John) Hillier. Cherished son of the late William and Suzette Shaffstall, nephew of the late Alice Mary Scholtes, and son-in-law of the late Henry Ricken. Dear friend and former husband of Ann M. Shaffstall.

Visitation will be held at the Bowerman Funeral Home in Munising on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church in Munising on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 12:00 noon. Interment will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising where military honors will be rendered.

Nancy Vivian Nordeen, 89, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away suddenly on March 19, 2024, just two weeks before her 90th birthday. Born and raised in Trenary, Michigan on her family’s farm, Nancy was the fifth of eleven children born to the late William and Gertrude (Kertuu) Savola.
