The following sporting events are scheduled over the next week. MMHS is Munising Middle/High School; SC is Superior Central High School; MBS is Munising Baptist School; and BTS is Burt Township School, Grand Marais.

The Munising wrestling team had four members make the trip to Charlevoix last Saturday to take part in a Division 4 individual regional tournament.

With all that was going on, there might have been some distractions for the Superior Central boys basketball team in their home game with Munising Baptist on Feb. 10. The Cougars, though, were able to get the job done in the non-conference meeting, claiming a 62-43 victory.

The Munising boys basketball team remained red hot last week, adding two more victories. At North Central last Friday, the Mustangs posted a 54-29 win to push their winning streak to 11 games.

The injury bug that seemingly plagued the Superior Central girls basketball team last season unfortunately stuck again. The Cougars, playing without the injured Sammy Johnson, fell 41-22 at home last Friday to Bark River- Harris.

The Superior Central boys basketball team began a stretch of three games in four days at home on Tuesday, Feb. 4. The Cougars were able to defeat Rapid River in this contest, 33-28.
