Munising softball hits well in losses to Rapid River
Ben Murphy They were losses, but the Munising softball team had one of their best offensive showings of the young season on Friday. The Lady Mustangs were playing at Rapid River, where they lost on scores of 15-11 and 17-7.

Ben Murphy The Superior Central softball team kept its undefeated early season record intact last week. The Lady Cougars were playing down at Rapid River on Tuesday, April 23, where they won the first game 26-11 and also won a weather shortened game two, 5-1.

Ben Murphy Superior Central baseball was able to enjoy its first win of the season on Friday. The Cougars were hosting Powers North Central, and picked up a 13-4 win in game one of the Central Skyline Conference doubleheader, before falling 5-2 in the nightcap.

Munising track runs season opener at Manistique
The Munising Track and Field teams got the new season underway on Friday, April 19 when they competed in Manistique for the Kiwanis Invitational. In the six team meet, the boys were able to take second place while the girls finished fifth.

Superior Central baseball drops opening games to Manistique
The Superior Central baseball team said hello to the new season on Thursday, April 18. The Cougars played at home against Manistique, although they lost both ends of the double header, 4-2 and 12-2.

The Superior Central softball team had a great opening week to the season. The Lady Cougars won all six of their games by mercy, including Friday sweep at Gwinn; 25-2 and 25-7. In game one, the Cougars were able to plate 13 runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back, highlighted by Kiera McDonald hitting an inside the park home run.
