Great Lakes Eight announces conference awards
The Great Lakes Eight conference has selected its players of the year and all-conference awards for the 2023 season, with seven local players recognized by the league with nine awards. Senior Joe Kelley was named first team all-conference for his skills as an offensive and defensive lineman.

Munising and Superior Central will both contend for the District 99 title, as the two schools will compete with four other familiar foes from October 30 through November 3 in Eben Junction to start what each school hopes is a long run in the MHSAA championship bracket.
