Munising put out another allaround solid effort in their home non-conference boys basketball game with Rudyard on Jan. 15. The Mustangs outscored the Bulldogs in every quarter, propelling them to a 62-28 victory.

Munising Baptist had plenty of offense in its home Northern Lights League boys basketball game with Ojibwe Charter on Jan. 7.

It may not have been a thing of beauty, but all things considered, Munising girls basketball head coach Matt Mattson will take the win. His Mustangs escaped with a 63-57 victory at Carney-Nadeau last Friday.

The 31st Annual New Year’s Eve Glow Bowling event was a shining example of community spirit, hosted by the Munising Lions Club in partnership with the Munising Rotary Club, Kiwanis Club of Alger County and Munising’s Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 237, bringing the community together once again to celebrate safely.

Playing in a professional sports venue, the Munising boys basketball team put up a rather prolific shooting performance. The Mustangs were taking on Brimley last Friday at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.

The Superior Central girls basketball team took part in the Carney- Nadeau holiday tournament on Dec. 27 and 28.
