History celebrated history on Monday, Dec. 12, as Munising wrestler Reagan Bowerman (far right) received his U.P. State Champion plaque at the boys varsity basketball game against Engadine. He was joined by 11 other past Mustang champions, invited by Munising Head Coach Joe Dolaskie for the ceremony.

The Munising Mustangs launched a big second half comeback to defeat the Superior Central Cougars 44-37 in Eben Junction on Wednesday, Dec. 7. Big plays from Emmy Crisp and Bailey Corcoran help erased a nine-point lead for the rivalry win.

Ryland Mosley scored a pair of goals to break a 1-1 tie and lift No. 18 Michigan Tech to a 3-1 victory over Northern Michigan Saturday in front of a sold-out crowd at the MacInnes Student Ice Arena.

The Bay College women’s basketball team was outscored 25-4 during an eight-minute stretch of the first half and could not recover, losing to the Kalamazoo Valley Cougars, 63-46, Wednesday night at the Bay College Gym. It was Bay’s first game in 17 days.

When Negaunee senior Phil Nelson returned the opening kickoff of the second half Friday and tied the Division 6 championship game at 14, it woke something up inside Ford Field. Unfortunately for Negaunee, that something was Timmy Kloska.
