Work is being done to erect the new Mather Elementary playground on W. Jewell Street in Munising. Munising Public Schools paid for half of the cost while multiple fundraiser efforts were used to complete the funding for the new equipment. The new set replaces the former wooden structure that was popular, but no longer compliant with standard insurance policies or American Disability Act (ADA) guidelines.
