Pastor Jim Rodgers of the First Presbyterian Church in Munising administers ashes on Wednesday, Feb. 22 in Downtown Munising. Rodgers, along with faith leaders from Eden on the Bay Lutheran, United Methodist and St. John’s Episcopal, worked together to make the mark of the cross to those wanting to participate in Ash Wednesday, the start of the Christian Lenten season. This is the fifth year of the local ecumenical team standing on the corner of Elm and Superior, who recognize Lent with joint services across the different congregations. Brice Burge
