Two men from Michigan and Pennsylvania have been arrested following a multi-agency undercover operation targeting online child predators in Alger County.

According to law enforcement officials, the operation was conducted March 13, 2026, by personnel from the Alger County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police, Munising City Police Department, Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Forsyth Township Police Department. The effort was modeled after Genesee County’s “Ghost” operations, which focus on identifying and apprehending individuals seeking to exploit minors through online chat platforms.

The operation resulted in the arrests of Anthony Walter Drown, of East Jordan, and Bob B. Nesim, of Levittown, Pennsylvania.

Both men have been charged with child sexually abusive activity, accosting a minor for immoral purposes and multiple counts of using a computer to commit a crime. Authorities said the most serious charge carries a statutory maximum penalty of up to 20 years in prison. Nesim also faces an additional charge related to using a computer or internet to communicate with another to commit a crime.

Drown and Nesim were arraigned March 15 in the 93rd District Court in Munising. Bond was set at $200,000 cash for Drown and $150,000 cash for Nesim.

Nesim waived his preliminary examination April 1. Drown waived his preliminary examination April 20. The cases have been bound over to Alger County’s 11th Circuit Court. Drown is scheduled to appear May 12, and Nesim is scheduled to appear May 15.

Alger County Sheriff Todd Brock praised the coordinated effort among agencies following the arrests.

“I am extremely proud of the cooperative effort from law enforcement in these cases,” Brock said. “Every arrest made pursuant to these operations is a step closer to a safer community. The message is that anyone intent on harming children will be met with the full force of law.”

Both defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
