K-5 students raised money by participating in eighth-annual “Reindeer Dash”. “The ‘Reindeer Dash’ began as teachers were discussing the usual gift exchange that the students had traditionally done in the past and decided that instead of giving each other gifts, it would be better to give back to the community,” SC Principal/Superintendent Bill Valima said. On the mornings of December 5th through December 8th, students had 5 minutes to “dash” to other classrooms in an old fashion penny war; pennies count for one point, silver and green found in the jars subtract from the pennies. The year the 5th Grade had the highest total for the win. This year the elementary students raised $2,220.97! All money will be donated to the Superior Central Music Program in memory of Neo Wilson.
